So what can I give to you, my friends?

Dear friends,

Om shanti.  So what can I give to you, my friends? I can only give you vibrations of truth and love. Let those vibrations draw you such that Dadi comes in your dreams.  Become free from attachment, and develop an attitude free from desires. Use everything in a worthwhile way and have an attitude that “no one is mine”. How will you make this quality of effort?  Pay attention to what you eat.  As is your food, so is your mind.  Pay attention to the company you keep.  As is the company, so will be your color.  Keep in your mind the thought, “My Lord should always remain pleased with me.”  Who among you is making true effort like this?

With love,

BK Janki

I'm still an effort maker while pursuing this elevated study by Baba. In the process, there must be truth in the company that I keep. I must be aware of my company by having awareness in my every thought, word and deed, that is, the awareness of my destination. I should just step away or keep my intellect away from the influence of bad company, because eventually, truth will prevail by itself, either revealing the truth in me or the falsehood in me.

Words for the World - Detachment

Dadi Janki shows how to be free from attachment and desires.

Dadi janki

…Finally, I mention Dadi Janki, the spiritual leader of the Brahma Kumaris, based on Mount Abu in Rajasthan, who, 20 years ago, when I was in my 50s and she was in her 80s—she is now 103—began showing me, through her love and compassion, that I, like everyone else, had spirit within me. When we act from that connection, it is good for each of us and for all of us. The vision that Dadi shares has inspired values-based educational programmes around the world in schools, with young leaders, and in the Brahma Kumaris institution."

Lord Stone speaking about Dadi Janki in the UK Parliament (House of Lords), responding to the report by the Commission on Religious Education Religion and Worldviews: the way forward, published in September.
