Our vibrations can travel thousands of miles away
Dear friend,

Now is the time when we must develop the highest level of self respect – so high that no one can affect us.  Someone may throw a stone, but we must give them a jewel in return.

This week someone asked me, “if someone has a very abusive way of behaving, is there a time when we say, ‘This behavior has to transform,’ or do we just continue to use loving vision?

By this point in my life, I have learned all the methods.  This is how I have survived until now and am able to show my face to you.  God should see my face and be able to love me.  Nobody else’s face should be visible on my face.  No one else’s *sanskars should be visible in me.  In many people’s minds other people’s faces are roaming around inside them.  God shows us His own face.  I want my face to look like God’s face – filled with love and with unshakable peace.

Our **drishti must be detached and loving.  I must not remember anything from my past, even if someone has made a very big mistake.  Some say, it’s easy to forgive, but difficult to forget.  But our personality must be so high that we forgive and forget completely, so that even the one who made the mistake does not remember.  Our vibrations can travel thousands of miles away.

With love,

BK Janki

anand:  We suggest you go to your local BK center to find out in detail about some of the things you are asking about and to learn meditation which will help you to experience your true self and your unique role in life. We understand ourselves to be incaporeal eternal beings of light and God also to be an incaproeal being of light so in that sense God does have a form/image but it is not physical sense, because the soul cannot be seen with these physical eyes.

Prachi Joshi:  Relationships in this day and age can be complicated, as so much karma has been created.  If you have tried to explain yourself to your friends and they have chosen not to forgive you - then that is their loss, not only because of the friend they will be loosing but also to keep sorrow in the heart and mind hurts the person holding the sorrow first.  However, as a friend of theirs it is your task to keep good feelings in your heart for them and send them pure feelings and good wishes without any expectation of return.  This will lighten your heart and also theirs in an incognito way, and all will benefit.

Sometime some mis-understandings spoils the relations. I have gone through couple of such relations. These are my best friends. I tried to know about mis-understandings in their mind, one of them told me & I tried to explain & requested to clear their heart. But he didn't accept it. 2nd one did not told me mis-understanding in his mind. Though I tried to ask him about it many times he didn't told me any thing. This is 2nd time when I am going through pain of loosing people. They just don't want to talk to me. How to open this lock between relations? please guide me

Om shanti !thanks for guidance! I was bit confused but now I am clear about the concept forgiveness. I want to keep in my mind good moments spend with my beloved ones (my Pitaji who died & my love who left from my life because of parents' rejection); but I want do it without the feeling of hurt. I was not able to proceed with my life because of that hurt & sorrow. So I started meditating with the help of Sister Shivani's program on astha. Now I am completely out of the feeling of hurt & sorrow & I don't dwell in the past while remembering good moments spend with both of them.

Prachi Joshi:  It is good that you have forgiven and forgotten things that have hurt you in the past.  It is fine to remember times of happiness, friendship and loved ones.  However if your remembrance keeps you in the past then this will hold you back from moving on with your life.  So remember with lightness and happiness, but don't dwell there.  Share the love you receive from God with all you meet today.

Namaste Dadi,

I forgot the hurt feel to me because of a act of my dearest one. I always pray for his good life & good being. But dose it mean that I should forget him & good time spend with him & my love towards him? I meditate daily & though i have gone through tough period of my life I feel happy & light through out a day. My life is changed fantastically I think I am on right path but please guide me on the issue.

Dear Dadi !
I have always experienced that its easy to forgive than to forget, over the years i realized that we should forget others mistakes and not the lessons we learnt from that. But, after reading your message i feel that we should forget even the lessons so that we remain neutral without bias and perform our acts with love. I love that message. Thanks Dadi

Purva,

True forgiveness is a very deep
spiritual practice.  Sometimes we think
we have forgiven but we are still holding on to traces of blame and resentment and
it is those traces that invite the negative response.  When we truly forgive then people will truly respect
us.

I would suggest re-reading Dadi’s posting,
sit and reflect on it for a while and then practice with love this deep forgiving
and forgetting over a period of time and see the result.

even i agree with narinder
i faced the same situation generally people take u for granted if u forgive them.so I just want to know what we need to do?
#13 Moderator 2010-03-30 18:28
Narinder,

Whether or not you experience sorrow from others is up to
you.  We need to develop a deep sense of
self respect balanced with mercy in order to forgive and forget.  In this state of self respect; because of
being connected to your true self and your innate qualities you will find it
natural to forgive.  You will understand
that the other is acting from their own insecurities and you will be able to
have compassion for that ones state of being.
As it says in the message from Dadi, the alternative is to have the
offenders face in your mind as you go over and over the offense causing, and
keeping yourself sorrow.  Forgiving and
letting go heals and makes you strong.
Who then becomes the winner? . . . both; the forgiver and the forgiven.

We often turn to God to be forgiven and ask that He forget
our transgressions, with the full expectation that it will be so.  We are thankful that He offers rest and
comfort. With Gods company we will receive the power of realization not repeat
the offense. We tend not to think of God as an idiot because he forgives us
again and again, we are thankful God is powerful enough to do this!  We can then move forward and do better.

Thank you so much Dadi Janki for these wonderful sentiments. It was just what I needed to comfort my heart. I wish I could forget. Forgiving is the easy part. I will ask for God's help to forget the hurts. I pray his Light can wash it away.

sending peaceful vibrations...
#8 Falguni Patel 2010-03-05 07:24

Just reading this, made me feel the peaceful vibrations this message is sending.
It is true, that we forgive but we don't forget and that could hold resentment somewhere deep inside. So I will try to forget totally, even so that the other person doesn’t remember.
