To serve through the mind means to serve your own mind first and others later.
Dear Friend,

Om shanti and greetings of love from India.   I know that you have a
deep love of serving others.  And many times we have talked about how to serve others through the mind.  But it is important to remember that to serve through the mind means to serve your own mind first and others later.

You cannot be subservient to your mind.  The mind must support you and stay under your control.  Ask your heart,  “is my mind thinking in such a way as to serve those around me? Or is the heart only filled with desires and attachments?”  There should be a stock of good wishes in the
mind and pure feelings in the heart.   The thoughts in the mind create
feelings.  When feelings are not right, then the heart is locked and you can’t experience bliss from God.  And then, of course, you cannot serve others.

Keep your thoughts and feelings pure.  Serve yourself and you will find you are transforming the atmosphere around you and serving others as well.

With love,

BK Janki

@nkiT:  Yes we are all on a journey and it takes practice to direct our thoughts in the way that brings benefit to ourselves and others.  It starts with a change of awareness.  Who am I and what thoughts do I want to have?  Now that I am aware of certain spiritual truths let me think about those truths and experience them, enjoy them.  When our thoughts and feelings are connected to truth we will automatically want to let go of negative things that bring us sorrow.  We can then share these powerful thoughts and feelings filled with truth and love with others and this will bring us more happiness, as well as the person we are sharing our pure thoughts and feelings with.  When you give you automatically receive, and negative thoughts and depression will fade away.

Good Morning Dadi
Beautiful message to read today. I have known this for a little while now and yes, I feel it is very important to fill my mind with God's love first. Only then am I able share what I am learning with others. Spending the days with God by my side gives me such happiness and I always feel like a little child playing in a garden filled with flowers and butterflies. This morning I am going to class at the Milton Center, Brisbane. Om Shanti

I so agree with this message. When I think pure and beautiful thoughts I feel happy inside and by being "soul conscious" I create a total feeling of well being throughout my body ... creating feelings of love and total health.

Thank you so much.

All of us are on the journey of self transformation... sometimes we find that are mind is not in our control... now as we start being aware of our thoughts we are able to quickly detect when is our mind not in our control... but what to do when we find its thinking about something it shouldn't think about.. . because sometimes we aren't able to create powerful positive thoughts when some situation hits us. Then we feel depressed that we aren't even able to control our thoughts!
